In the central part, a portrait facing right of aircraft designer Oleg Konstantinovich Antonov. To his left is the outline of the wings of a modern aircraft; to his right: 'An' in an oval – the emblem of the Antonov Design Bureau. Along the arc of the right edge is his name in Ukrainian: 'OLEH ANTONOV'; to the left and below along the rim are his life years 1906-1984.
Obverse
In the central part, on a straight line, a four-turbofan airliner is depicted; to the left under its wing is a single-engine biplane ('crop duster'). Above them is the Coat of Arms of Ukraine, with the numbers '20' and '06' to its left and right – the year of mintage 2006. Along the arc of the coin's edge from left to right runs the text in Ukrainian: 'NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE'. Below the airliner is the inscription '2 HRYVNI' – 2 Hryvnias. Below the biplane is the mint mark of the Kyiv Mint.
