Reverse In the central part, a Baroque-style heraldic shield with a crown above it. The shield bears the coat of arms of Lorraine. Below, in a cartouche, the numeral 1 divides the mint year '1759∙' into two parts: '17' on the left and '59∙' on the right. Beneath the '17' is the Latin letter 'W', and beneath the '59∙' is the letter 'I'. The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
Obverse In the center is the right-facing profile of Franz I Stephen, Duke of Lorraine. Along the arc of the coin's edge is a Latin inscription: on the left and right, 'FRANC∙D∙G∙R∙I∙S∙A∙GE∙I∙REX∙' (Franciscus Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus, Germaniae et Hierosolymae Rex - Franz, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the Romans, Semper Augustus, King of Germany and Jerusalem). The rim is adorned with denticles.
