In the central part, within a wreath of fleur-de-lis, the lesser coat of arms of the King of Spain is depicted - a cross, with two lions and two castles in its quarters. Decorative raised denticles are placed along the rim.
Obverse
In the central part - the right-facing profile of Charles the Fourth. To its left is the mint mark of Madrid: "M", to its right - the numeral: "4". To the left and right along the edge is the Latin legend: "CAROLUS·IIII·D·G·HISP·REX" - "CHARLES IV BY THE GRACE OF GOD KING OF SPAIN", below - the year of minting: "1803".
