Below is the year of issue, 1919. The edge of the coin features decorative elements in the form of denticles.

    In the central part is the hole, below which are the letters: "KN" - denoting the mint mark, Kings Norton. Around the hole is the denomination 'one half penny': to the left, top, and right in English - "ONE HALF PENNY", below - in Arabic with diacritics: "دصف ثني". At the top, along the rim, is the Crown of the British Empire. To the left is the inscription: "GEORGIVS V", to the right - "REX ET IND: IMP:". These translate from Latin as: "GEORGE V" and "KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA". The edge of the coin features decorative raised denticles.
