    In the central part is a Fijian throwing club – an ula tava tava. It divides the inscription '10 CENTS' into two parts: the numeral 10 above and the English text 'CENTS' below. Along the rim around the circumference are decorative elements in the form of triangular serrations.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain wearing a crown. On the left side, following the curve of the coin's edge, is the English inscription of the monarch's name 'ELIZABETH II'. On the right side are the name of the island nation 'FIJI' and the year of minting '1985'.
