Obverse In the central part, the left-facing profile of King George V of Great Britain wearing a crown. Along the rim runs the Latin inscription '∙GEORGIVS V D. G. BRITT: OMN: REX F.D. IND: IMP:', which translates to 'GEORGE V BY THE GRACE OF GOD KING OF ALL THE BRITONS, DEFENDER OF THE FAITH, EMPEROR OF INDIA'. Below the portrait is a dot. Along the edge are decorative raised denticles.
