    The central part features two cornucopias crossed at the top. Inside them is a two-line inscription in Spanish: '20 CENT' - 20 centavos. Along the left arc of the coin's edge is the weight: 'GRAM.5', on the right is the silver content indication: 'LEI 0,835'. Along the lower arc is the inscription in Spanish: 'MEDELLIN' - the mint in the city of Medellín, separated from the other inscriptions by two five-pointed stars. The rim is decorated with a denticulated pattern.
  • Obverse
    The central part depicts the head of Liberty facing left, wearing a headband with the Spanish inscription 'Liberty' - 'LIBERTAD'. Below it is the date of issue - 1876. To the right, above, and to the left is the inscription in Spanish: 'ESTADOS UNIDOS DE COLOMBIA', which translates to 'United States of Colombia'. In the lower part, along the arc of the coin's edge, are nine seven-pointed stars. The rim is decorated with a denticulated pattern.
