Reverse In the central part are two cornucopias crossed at the top. Inside them is the numeral 5, below them along the rim is the inscription: 'CENT.' - centavos. Along the arc of the left edge of the coin, the weight is indicated: 'GRAM.1,250', on the right is the silver content indication: 'LEI 0,666'. All inscriptions are separated by dots. The rim is decorated with a decorative element in the form of dots.
Obverse In the central part is depicted the head of Liberty facing left, wearing a headband with the Spanish inscription for 'Liberty' - 'LIBERTAD'. Below it is the issue date - 1902. To the right, top, and left is the Spanish inscription: 'REPUBLIKA DE COLOMBIA', which translates to: 'Republic of Colombia'. The rim is decorated with a decorative element in the form of dots.
