The rim is decorated with a decorative element in the form of dots.

In the central part is depicted the head of Liberty facing left, wearing a headband with the Spanish inscription for 'Liberty' - 'LIBERTAD'. Below it is the issue date - 1902. To the right, top, and left is the Spanish inscription: 'REPUBLIKA DE COLOMBIA', which translates to: 'Republic of Colombia'. The rim is decorated with a decorative element in the form of dots.
