    In the central part of the reverse is a relief depiction of a woman (St. Mary) holding an infant. Along the arc of the left and right edge of the coin is the inscription: «PATRONA.HVNG.1830.S.MARIA.MATER.DEI.», which translates to: «Saint Mary Mother of God, Patroness of Hungary». 1839 is the year of minting. The coin's edge features a decorative raised pattern of square denticles.

    In the central part is the right-facing profile of King Ferdinand I wearing a laurel wreath. Along the arc of the coin's edge from left to right runs the text: «FERD.I.D.G.AVST.IMP.HVNG.B.REX.H.N.V.R.L.V.D.G.L.I.A.A.», which translates from German as: «Ferdinand I, by the Grace of God, Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, Bohemia, the fifth of this line, King of Lombardy and Venice, Dalmatia, Galicia, Lodomeria, Illyria, Archduke of Austria». Below the profile is the letter «В», indicating the Kremnica Mint. The coin's edge features a decorative raised pattern of square denticles.
