Reverse

In the central part of the reverse is a relief depiction of a woman (St. Mary) holding an infant. Along the arc of the left and right edge of the coin is the inscription: «PATRONA.HVNG.1830.S.MARIA.MATER.DEI.», which translates to: «Saint Mary Mother of God, Patroness of Hungary». 1830 is the year of minting. The edge of the coin features a decorative raised pattern of dentils.

Obverse

In the central part is the right-facing profile of King Francis II (known as Francis I in Austria, Bohemia, and Hungary) wearing a laurel wreath. Along the arc of the coin's edge from left to right runs the text: «FRANC.I.D.G.AVST.IMP.HVNG.B.L.V.G.L.IL.REX.A.A.», which translates from German as «Francis I, by the Grace of God, Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, Bohemia, Lombardy, Venice, Galicia, Lodomeria, Illyria, Archduke of Austria».
