    In the central part, a right-facing profile portrait of Miklós Zrínyi (1508–1566), Ban of Croatia and Slavonia (from 1542), a commander of Emperor Ferdinand I, who died in the Siege of Szigetvár. Below, the number 25 and the abbreviation 'BP.' – the mintmark of the Budapest Mint. To the left and right of the portrait along the rim are the years of his life 1508-1566. Along the upper edge in an arc is the commander's name in Hungarian: 'ZRINYI MIKLOS'.
  • Obverse
    In the central part, a bas-relief image dedicated to Miklós Zrínyi's participation in the Siege of Szigetvár (1566). Below it is the year of issue 1966 and the inscription in Hungarian: 'HUSZONOT FORINT', which translates to 'Twenty-five Forint'. Along the edge of the coin in an arc runs the text: 'MAGYAR.NÉPKÖZTÁRSASÁG', which translates from Hungarian as 'Hungary. People's Republic'. At the bottom, the inscription is separated by a quatrefoil symbol.
