On a mirror-like background of the house's outline, a fragment of the sculptural composition decorating the building's facade is depicted in relief; the architect's facsimile is placed vertically on the mirror-like background, with the inscription HOUSE WITH CHIMERAS placed in a semicircle at the bottom right.
Obverse
In the upper part of the obverse is the Trident (the small State Emblem of Ukraine) and the inscription along the arc of the coin's edge NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, below which (on the right) is the coin's year of mintage - 2013; against the background of the House with Chimeras is a portrait with the semicircular inscription V. HORODETSKYI, to the left of which are the architect's life years 1863 - 1930, above which are the denomination - 5 HRYVNIAS and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
