The coats of arms are positioned with their bases towards the center, forming a sun-like pattern. Along the edge of the coin are inscriptions in German: on the left, top, and right the country name 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' (Republic of Austria), at the bottom the inscription 'EURO' (Euro).
