    The center of the coin is occupied by the monogram of Peter I — four crossed letters 'P', between which are four signs 'İ' (I with a dot above). Inside the monogram, the first two digits of the minting year '17' are indicated on the left, and '22' (1722) on the right, separated by the crossing point of the monogram's letters. Along the edge of the coin is a circular inscription: МОНЕТА НОВАѦ ЦЕНА ДВА РУБЛИ (NEW COIN PRICE TWO RUBLES), divided into four parts by crowns.
