Reverse
The central part features the coat of arms of Colombia. Below it is the letter 'A' - the mint mark. In the upper part, along the edge of the coin, is the Spanish text: 'DOS Y MEDIO PESOS' - 2½ (two and a half) pesos. Along the left edge of the coin is the weight: 'G 3.994', on the right is the fineness indication: 'LEY 0.916 2/3'. The inscriptions are separated by dots. The rim is decorated with a denticulated pattern.
Obverse
