  • Reverse
    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of a hibiscus flower. To its left is a two-line inscription in English '10 SENTS' (10 Cents).
  • Obverse
    Centered is the coat of arms of Trinidad and Tobago. It features a heraldic shield with three ships depicted in its lower part and two hummingbirds in the upper part. Above the shield are a helmet with mantling, a ship's wheel, and a coconut palm. The shield is supported by supporters: on the left a Scarlet Ibis, on the right a Rufous-vented Chachalaca. At the base of the arms is the motto in English 'TOGETHER WE ASPIRE TOGETHER WE ACHIEVE'. Along the upper arc of the coin's edge is the country name in English 'REPUBLIC OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO', with the mint year '1990' below.
