    In the central part, against a stylized background, a bell is depicted with the year of the uprising '1903' on it. Above, to the right, and below is the inscription '110 YEARS AFTER THE ILINDEN–PREOBRAZHENIE UPRISING' in Bulgarian '110 ГОДИНИ ОТ ИЛИНДЕНСКО-ПРЕОБРАЖЕНСКОТО ВЪСТАНИЕ'.

    Along the rim on the left, top, and right is the name 'Bulgarian National Bank' in Bulgarian 'БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА'. Below is the bank's emblem: a heraldic shield featuring an oak leaf, held by two armored lions, with a ribbon at the base bearing the bank's founding year '1879'. To the left of the emblem is the mint year '2013', to the right the inscription ten leva '10 ЛЕВА'. In the central part, framed by branches, is a composition: under a waving flag, two women with swords and shields, the shield of the woman on the left engraved with the letter 'M', on the right with 'B'. At the women's feet lies a lion.
