    In the central part, the first Austro-Hungarian dreadnought of the new class 'Viribus Unitis' is depicted sailing to the left, with a section of the deck of an accompanying ship in the foreground and the squadron's ships in the background. Along the upper edge is the name of the battleship in Latin: 'S.M.S. VIRIBUS UNITIS' (His Majesty's Ship Viribus Unitis). Below, the country name in German in two lines: 'REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH' (Republic of Austria) and the inscription '20 EURO'. On the right side of the deck is the year of minting '2006'.

    Depicted: on the left, a ship viewed from the bow with its guns trained to port; above, a biplane flying over the smoke; on the right, the conning tower of a submarine emerges from the water, with two figures standing on it and the Austrian flag flying from the antenna. At the top and right is the inscription in German: 'K. u. K. KRIEGSMARINE' (Imperial and Royal Navy). In the waves on the right near the horizon line is the artist Thomas Pesendorfer's mintmark - 'TP'.
