    The central part features the lesser coat of arms of the Austrian Empire: a double-headed eagle with wings spread, its heads crowned, above them the Crown of Saint Stephen. In its right talon, the eagle holds a sword and scepter, in its left, an orb. On the eagle's breast is a cross, within it an oval framed by a chain, containing the numeral 3. Along the edge of the coin, in Latin, from right, bottom to left: 'HVN:BOH:GAL:REX∙A:A:LO:WI:ET IN FR:D:1815∙' (King of Hungary, Bohemia, Galicia, Archduke of Austria, Lodomeria, Würzburg, Duke of Franconia 1815). Above the crown, the Latin letter 'H'. The edge is decorated with decorative teeth.

    Centered is the right-facing profile of Francis II, Emperor of the Austrian Empire, King of Hungary and Bohemia, wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon. Along the edge of the coin runs the Latin text: from left, top to right 'FRANCISCVS I:D:G:AVST:IMPERATOR∙' (Francis I, by the Grace of God, Emperor of Austria). Below, the Latin letter 'A' - the mint mark of Vienna. The coin's rim features decorative raised teeth.
