Obverse
In the central part, the left-facing profile of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands against a background of numerous stars. Around the portrait are 12 five-pointed stars, symbolizing the 12 member countries of the European Union. In the lower part along the edge arc is the year of issue: 2007, flanked by the mintmarks of the Utrecht Mint: a sailing ship - the privy mark of mintmaster Maarten Brouwer, and the caduceus of Mercury. To the left, above, and to the right is an inscription in Dutch: «BEATRIX KONING DER NEDERLANDEN» - Beatrix Queen of the Netherlands.
