    Corresponds to the image of a regular-issue three-kopeck coin, except for the mirror-image legend inscriptions: 'The central part features the denomination—the numeral 3 flanked on both sides by asterisks. Below the numeral is the word "КОПѢЙКИ" (KOPEYKI). Beneath that is a decorative divider in the form of two curved lines with a small circle between them. Below the divider is the mint mark "С.П.Б." (S.P.B.). The central part is separated from the rest of the design by a circle of dots. In the upper part, the incused text is arranged in a semicircle: 1898 ГОДА (YEAR). Below, along the edge, is a wreath of laurel and oak branches. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow.'
  • Obverse
    The central part of the coin features the State Coat of Arms of the German Empire. Around the circumference are two semicircular cartouches connected by ornamental patterns. The upper cartouche bears the raised inscription: "МЕДНАЯ РОССIЙСКАЯ МОНЕТА" (COPPER RUSSIAN COIN). The lower cartouche, depicted as a ribbon, bears the incused inscription in mirror image: "ТРИ КОПѢЙКИ" (THREE KOPECKS).
