In the central part, the inscription in three lines: '10 EURO CENT'. To the left of the inscription is the outline of Europe, from which six vertical rays extend upwards and six downwards. Along the arc of the left edge of the coin, intersecting these rays, are twelve five-pointed stars. To the right of the inscription is the monogram 'LL' - the mark of the engraver Luc Luycx.
Obverse
In the central part, within a circle of smaller diameter, is the coat of arms of Malta. To its left, the country name in English: 'MALTA' is arranged in a semicircle. To the right is the year of issue, 2008. Along the edge of the coin, on a background formed by fifteen circles, are twelve five-pointed stars.
