Along the edge of the coin, in Latin, from right, bottom to left: 'HVN∙BOH∙LOMB∙ET VEN∙GAL∙LOD∙IL∙REX∙A∙A∙1829∙' (King of Hungary, Bohemia, Lombardy and Venice, Galicia, Lodomeria, Illyria, Archduke of Austria 1829). The rim is decorated with decorative teeth.

Centered is the right-facing profile of Francis II, Emperor of the Austrian Empire, King of Hungary and Bohemia, wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon. Along the edge of the coin runs the Latin text: from left, top to right 'FRANCISCVS I∙D∙G∙AVST∙IMPERATOR∙' (Francis I, by the Grace of God, Emperor of Austria). Below is the Latin letter 'A' - the mint mark of the Vienna Mint. The rim features decorative raised teeth.
