  • Reverse
    The central part features the coat of arms of Denmark from 1819-1903 - a crown and a shield with dynastic emblems. To its left and right are two oak branches, which cross at the bottom. Along the arc of the lower edge is the inscription '1 SPECIES' in Danish. To the left is the year of mintage: '1849'.
  • Obverse
    The central part features the right-facing profile of King Frederick VII of Denmark. Along the rim are inscriptions in Latin: on the left, 'FREDERICVS VII' - 'FREDERICK VII'; on the right, 'DG DANIAE VG REX' - 'BY THE GRACE OF GOD, KING OF DENMARK, THE WENDS AND THE GOTHS'. The edges of the rim are decorated with raised decorative teeth.
