In the central part - the national coat of arms: a crown and a shield. To its left and right are two roses, crossed at the bottom and tied with a bow. Along the edge of the coin from left to right is a Latin inscription: "GLORIA EX AMORE PATRIA" - "GLORY IS LOVE FOR THE HOMELAND", below - the year of minting: "1776".
Obverse
In the central part is the crowned monogram of the king: a crown at the top, below it the letter "C" and the digit "7" from left to right and an identical mirror image, signifying: "CHRISTIAN 7". To the right, below, and to the left along the edge is a Latin text: "D.G. DAN.NOR.VAN.GOTH.REX" - "BY THE GRACE OF GOD, KING OF DENMARK, NORWAY, THE WENDS AND THE GOTHS".
