    In the central part is an Ionic order column – a monument in the city of Kerch; above the column – coins of Panticapaeum; to the left of the column – against the background of a cityscape, the Church of John the Baptist, an architectural monument of the 10th – 14th centuries; to the right – a staircase leading to Mount Mithridates; and the semicircular inscription: KERCH 2600.

    In the upper part is the small State Emblem of Ukraine; against the background of Mount Mithridates – a bracelet from the archaeological excavations of the Kul-Oba kurgan; on both sides of the mountain – stylized depictions of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov; and the inscriptions: UKRAINE, 2000, 5, HRYVEN, and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
