  • Obverse
In the central part of a circle formed by dots is an image of the small State Emblem of Ukraine framed by guelder-rose branches. Above the emblem is the date 1995 — the year of the coin's minting; below the emblem — in two lines around the circle is the inscription 200000 KARBOVANTSIV, which denotes the coin's face value (the number 200000 is placed in a break in the dots). Between the outer rim and the circle of dots at the top is the inscription NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE, separated on both sides from the word KARBOVANTSIV by dividing marks in the form of diamonds. On the reverse of the coin, in the center, is an image of the ensemble of Sophia Square in Kyiv — the Saint Sophia Cathedral and the monument to Bohdan Khmelnytsky. In the foreground on the right, against the background of the Cathedral, is the figure of a young woman in a Ukrainian national costume with flowers — a symbol of young independent Ukraine, bowing her head before the eternal flame of the people's memory for those who perished in the Great Patriotic War. Around the upper part of the coin is the inscription VICTORY IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR. Below, under a horizontal line, is the inscription 1941-1945.
