    In the central part is a double-headed eagle with outstretched wings; the eagle's heads are in a halo, above them a crown; in its right talon a sword, in its left a scepter; on its breast an oval framed by a chain, containing the numeral 3. Along the edge of the coin is a Latin inscription on the right and left: 'ARCH∙A∙D∙BVRG∙LOTH∙M∙D∙H∙1798∙' (Archduke of Austria, Duke of Burgundy, Lorraine, Grand Duke of Tuscany 1798). At the end of the legend is a mark in the shape of the Latin letter 'X'. The coin's edge features decorative raised denticles.

    In the center is the right-facing profile of Emperor of the Austrian Empire, King of Hungary and Bohemia, Francis II, wearing a laurel wreath tied with a ribbon. Along the edge of the coin runs a Latin text: on the left, top, and right 'FRANC∙II∙D∙G∙R∙I∙S∙A∙GE∙HV∙BO∙REX' (Francis II, by the Grace of God, Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, King of Germany, Hungary and Bohemia); at the bottom the Latin letter 'A' - the mint mark of Vienna. The coin's edge features decorative raised dots.
