The organizers ofFrieze Los Angelestoday named the ninety-six galleries set to exhibit in the event’s 2026 iteration, to take place February 28–March 1, with preview days of February 26–27. The fair will return to the Santa Monica Airport, its home for the past three years. Representing twenty-two countries, the participating galleries include blue-chip international operations like Gagosian, Gladstone, Hauser & Wirth, and David Zwirner, as well as a cohort hailing from Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, and Africa, among them Taka Ishii Gallery, with multiple locations in Japan; the Toronto- and Tehran-based Dastan; Mexico City’s Proyectos Monclcova; and the LA- and Cape Town–based Southern Guild. Exclusively local galleries, such as Château Shatto, the Pit, and Roberts Projects, will be present, as will a handful of first-time exhibitors, including Montreal’s Bradley Ertaskiran, the Milan- and London-based Cardi Gallery, and New York’s Lomex.
In addition to the main section, the fair will again feature its Focus section, curated for the third year in a row by Essence Harden, who co-curated the Hammer Museum’s 2025 Made in LA biennial. Highlighting solo presentations mounted by galleries that have been in business for twelve years or fewer, the section expands this year to include fifteen participants, among them New York’s Gordon Robichaux, Minneapolis’s Dreamsong, and Chicago’s Patron.
In a statement, Christine Messineo, director of Americas at Frieze, addressed LA’s recovery from the multiple wildfires that devastated the area last January, just ahead of the fair’s 2025 edition, which went ahead as planned. “As the city’s art landscape evolves, Frieze Los Angeles continues to reflect the strength of its creative ecosystem—one defined by artists, ideas and experimentation,” said Messineo. “In the wake of this past year’s challenges, the art community here continues to demonstrate extraordinary resilience and imagination. Consistency can be radical in a city that thrives on change. Frieze Los Angeles 2026 celebrates creativity, community, and a shared purpose to amplify the conversation shaping culture today.”
