"Tomorrow Was War" is a Soviet film based on the eponymous novel by Boris Vasilyev, a diploma project of VGIK graduate Yuri Kara. The film's budget was only 50 thousand rubles, and the actors worked for free. The film was awarded the A. Dovzhenko Gold Medal "For the Best Military-Patriotic Film" and also won top prizes at international film festivals in Spain, France, Germany, and Poland.
