Victor Tretiachenko

Tretyachenko was an artist with a tragic fate. In the 1970s, he was arrested on political charges. Before his arrest, all of his works were confiscated, and after his release, he mainly began painting landscapes and portraits. He was born in Kherson and died in Chisinau. He lived in Moldova since 1956. In 1964, he graduated from the Republican Art School "Repin". He participated in exhibitions starting from 1966. He became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR in 1968. The artist's work was exhibited at the exhibition "Russian Branch of the Painted Tree of Moldova".
