(1939 Neuchâtel – 2023 Basel) "Boiling Noise and Intense Excitement." Original title "Early Work of Aloe," whose works are at the intersection of abstraction, figuration, and street art. Aloe arrived in Basel in 1962 and is considered one of the most important Swiss artists of our time. In 1967, he became a member of the Basel group "Farnsburg," which protested and exhibited their works in response to being rejected from the annual exhibitions at the Kunsthalle. However, just three years later, he managed to exhibit at the Kunsthalle again, after which numerous solo and group exhibitions followed. Mixed media/wood panel. Signed, titled, dated (1966) and priced "Fr. 600.-" on the reverse. Size 49.5 cm x 65 cm. Studio or framed work. Mixed techniques and materials on panel. Signature, title, date (1966), and price "Fr. 600.-" on the reverse side.
