Having studied at the Munich Academy since 1862, this artist primarily dedicated himself to alpine landscapes, finding his motifs in Upper Bavaria, the Salzburg region, and the Salzkammergut, as well as in Tyrol. From 1884 he lived in Flintsbach am Inn in the Bavarian Alpine foothills, before returning to Munich. Oil on canvas. Signed and dated 1885. Restored, with minor paint losses. Dimensions: 102.5 cm x 80.5 cm.
