

(1873 Berlin – 1943 Auschwitz Concentration Camp) This Impressionist landscape includes hills with a flowering meadow. It is an early work created in 1900, belonging to a Jewish artist whose legacy is largely lost. Fuchs was a student of Franz Skarbina, Walter Leistikow, and Lovis Corinth; from 1918 to 1933, she participated in major art exhibitions in Berlin. In 1933, she emigrated to Paris, where she exhibited at the Salon d'Automne and was a member of the Freie Künstlerbund. Watercolor with faded areas on paper mounted on cardboard.
