Description

The silver flat stand transitions into an oval convex body with a nozzle-lid. The walls and lid are decorated with radially arranged, slightly twisted, smoothly curved lines. The interior is gilded. Author – master Georg Nikolaus I Bierfreund (became a master in 1740). Weight about 100 g. Height 5.5 cm. Dimensions 9.5 cm x 7.5 cm. See the catalog of the German National Museum, volume I, part 1, MZ 0065, BZ 39. A small Nuremberg Rococo sugar bowl by Georg Nikolaus I Bierfreund (master since 1740). Gilded inside. Markings: assay, stamp, and workshop. German Nuremberg. Circa 1760.
