Gilded silver plate

Silver, partially gilded. A shallow, smooth mirror transitioning into a wide surface covered with a masterfully executed relief design and a punched flag with large garnet apples, surrounded by floral branches. Finished, cut edge. Inscription, master Hans Heinrich von Dort (became a master in 1689). Weight approximately 248 g. Diameter 28.7 cm. See Schliemann, volume II, number 45, 304, compare with work 6.
