St. Louis

A multifaceted symbol of luxury, prosperity, and commitment to tradition - that's what you feel when you look at the famous Saint-Louis crystal. The glass factory has been in existence since 1586, and the area where it is located is named Sain-Louis-les-Bitch, in honor of the factory. In 1767, recognizing its refined taste and craftsmanship, Louis XV awarded the factory the prestigious title of Verrerie Royale de Saint-Louis, meaning royal or court. To this day, the French government remains the brand's largest client. After 15 years, Francois de Beaufort created a special formula for mass production of crystal. The factory then acquired a new name - Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis! In 1782, the manufactory was recognized as the best crystal manufacturer in continental Europe. Among its assortment of products are vases, crystal tableware, candle holders, and millefiori paperweights. All products are handmade. The company's products have won numerous gold medals at exhibitions and world fairs. The first crystal chandeliers - another source of pride for the Saint-Louis factory - were produced in 1836. Colored crystal appeared in 1837. During this period, Saint-Louis was proposed to produce crystal tableware of the highest level, which allowed the factory to strengthen its position in the market. The brand was the first in the world to propose the concept of table setting with crystal items made in a unified style. Saint-Louis became a leader in the development and use of new technologies for coloring crystal, cold cutting, and the production of the most intricate models with engraving and gold ornamentation. The uniqueness of the Saint-Louis brand also lies in its wide range of rich colors. If in the 18th century this crystal was renowned for its transparency, now it also adds color to its merits. Today, two-layer colored crystal, while maintaining its transparency, is presented in several unique variations. The secret to its brilliance lies in the highest quality of materials. Luxurious, fragile, and incredibly elegant Saint-Louis collections can fit into practically any interior, adding a touch of classic chic or appropriately complementing it.
