A decorative composition consisting of a glass egg suspended on a wooden base adorned with profiles of two dragons. The egg is hand-painted from the inside, creating a three-dimensional and delicate design. The wooden base is decorated with metal filigree and supplemented with bone elements. The piece has survived in its original packaging, enhancing its collectible value.
The composition was made in China between 1960 and 1980. It is a characteristic example of Chinese decorative and applied art of the second half of the 20th century, combining traditional techniques of hand painting and wood carving.
