Description

Maltsev, Russia, 1830s
Dimensions: 11 by 8 cm, height with lid – 16.5 cm. Antique heavy "wandering" hand-cut glass with characteristic bubbles and a lens on the bottom, faceted lid.

Condition as shown in the photo. Delivery to another region via Russian Post or courier.

In the Russian Empire, tea held one of the foremost places among colonial goods. As a rule, tea was delivered to factories in boxes sealed at the border, where it was distributed into branded paper packages, metal, faience, porcelain, or glass tea canisters, and then sealed with an official banderole, which served as a mark of product quality.
