Founded in 1884 (RSFSR, Yaroslavl Region, Rybinsky District, Pesochnoye Village), the enterprise was established by merchant P. A. Nikitin as a brick factory. A year later, the production of porcelain and faience ware was mastered, and the enterprise was named "Porcelain and Faience Ware Factory of Pavel Andreevich Nikitin and K in Rybinsk". In 1886, the enterprise was sold to the trading house "Karyakin and Rahmanov", and in 1894 it became the property of the industry leader "Association for the Production of Porcelain and Faience Products M. S. Kuznetsov". By the beginning of the 20th century, the factory ceased the production of faience products, focusing on porcelain production. The main products manufactured were tea and coffee sets, decorative vases, and "Eastern goods" - sets for pilaf, bowls, teapots, and dishes. The Eastern assortment accounted for 70% of the production, 13% of which was exported. Statuettes were also produced, and manual painting was used for product decoration. In 1936, an art laboratory was established, where artists such as M. F. Palamarchuk, I. I. Goncharenko, D. E. Klyuvant, V. S. Gubanov, N. G. Leonteva, N. N. Oraevsky, L. M. Gorbonova, and Yu. N. Gorbonov, as well as sculptors V. A. Shestopalov and Yu. M. Lvov, worked at different times. In the 1960s-1980s, the enterprise successfully participated in various exhibitions. The number of employees reached 2,000 people. Collections of the factory's products are stored in the Rybinsk and Yaroslavl museum-reserves.
