Description

A set of twelve porcelain dessert plates from the late 19th – early 20th century, probably from the Kuznetsov factory, Moscow. Each plate bears red applied marks of the retailer Escalier de Cristal de Paris. In the center of each plate is an ornate gilded emblem of Grand Duke Sergei Alexandrovich and Grand Duchess Elizabeth beneath the Imperial crown, and on the rim of the plates—a border of trailing vine. The diameter of each plate is 8½ inches (21.6 cm) (12 pieces).
