Description

Figurative porcelain box with lid from the Kuznetsov factory, Moscow, mid-19th century. Rectangular shape, the lid is modeled and decorated with a sleeping drummer on a patch of grass next to a tall hollow stump, with a dog at his side. The base is decorated with posts and flowering plants. Height 5 inches (12.7 cm), width 5¾ inches (14.6 cm).
