PORCELAIN FIGURE "BOURGEOISE POLITELY SELLING HER WARES AT THE MARKET" FROM THE STATE PORCELAIN FACTORY, PETROGRAD, 1923 After a model by Alice Bruschetti-Mitrokhina, a realistically modeled and painted standing woman, in a purple coat, white dress, with a hat and veil, holding a shawl and undergarments, with a bear cub near her feet, on a molded base with the date "1919" and decorated with stylized depictions of books and shoes, with a green underglaze factory mark and a black overglaze anniversary mark for the fifth anniversary of the State Porcelain Factory, also numbered "94/33" and with incised Cyrillic initials "I.K." for Ivan Kuznetsov, height 11 3/8 inches (29 cm).
