Description

Soviet porcelain group "Ruslan and Lyudmila," probably the "Dulevo" factory, Likino-Dulevo, circa 1950. Apparently unmarked, possibly created after a model by Asta Davydovna Brzhezitskaya (Russian, 1912–2004), designed in the 1950s. In the image, Lyudmila is wearing a kokoshnik. There is an impressed mark on the bottom and an ink notation "5455" "1597" (partially erased) and in Cyrillic (N NM (?)). Height: 14 3/4 inches. SOURCE: Private collection, Maryland.
