Large equestrian statue "Napoleon Crossing the Alps"

A rectangular, elevated stone pedestal. Seated on a galloping horse, with a resolute gaze, stands Napoleon Bonaparte in uniform with a bicorne and a billowing red cloak, his right hand raised in a commanding gesture, during his crossing of the Alps at the Great St. Bernard Pass, based on the famous painting created around 1800/01 by the French historical painter Jacques-Louis David (1748-1825). Polychrome painting with gold accessories. Possibly executed by Otto Pörzel, 1906. At the base, a French inscription. Monogram "S.M." in black glaze. Former mark "Hollosi". Height 65 cm.
