The first "Grasshopper" figurine was released in 1923. Alber Caasma (1886-1968) was a German sculptor and porcelain artist. The sculptor's path in porcelain is interesting. At first, he worked for many years at the Lieol factory, which specialized in the production of toy soldiers and figurines of various animals and birds for children. From 1909, the sculptor worked at this factory, but after participating in World War I, from 1919 he took the position of chief designer at the factory.

Caasma's works were very popular among German children, and to better create animal figurines, Albert often visited the Berlin Zoo. His model of a group of cheetahs was so well received at the Volkstedt porcelain factory that it was not only produced in 1920, but is still being made today. From that time, the master, as a freelance sculptor, began creating various models for the Rosenthal factory. Condition: excellent preservation, without damage or restoration, year 1957, mark rosehal, size in cm h.6 * l.10.5, material porcelain, condition without defects or restorations.
