Round, flat shape with a concave center. In the center, a large bouquet of yellow, pink, and red roses, executed in fine, iridescent, polychrome painting. Gilded rim. Unglazed base. Marked with "Crossed Swords." Diameter 48 cm. The decoration is rendered in the tradition of floral painting by Professor Julius Eduard Braunsdorf. J.E. Braunsdorf (1841–1922) revolutionized Meissen floral painting at the end of the 19th century. He transitioned from the traditional bouquet style to a style reminiscent of Impressionism, characterized by loose brushstrokes and soft, blurred transitions. Subsequent generations of artists followed Braunsdorf's style and developed a wide range of variations in Meissen floral painting. A large porcelain wall plate, finely painted with a bouquet of yellow, pink, and red roses in the manner of Professor J.E. Braunsdorf. Marked with "Crossed Swords." Meissen. Circa 1935–1945.
