Пятерка
Description

"Five" by E.I. Gatilova
Dimensions: 15 - 12 - 32.5 cm

The porcelain sculpture "Five," depicting a schoolgirl filled with pride after receiving an excellent grade, is one of the characteristic examples of porcelain figurines from the "golden collection" of the Dulevo Porcelain Factory (DPF).

This figurine was created in 1956 by Evgenia Gatilova—a People's Artist of the Russian Federation, a true classic of porcelain miniatures, who worked at the factory for 35 years.

In her work, E.I. Gatilova often turned to moments from "the everyday life of ordinary people," to the theme of childhood—and her works are distinguished by plastic expressiveness, the ability to "capture the moment," and to embody living human emotions in porcelain.

"Five" is a fairly large sculpture (its height is 31 centimeters) with finely crafted details.

It belongs to the category of restored sculptures—exact factory copies of a lost original model, executed with great skill. The figurine is made of hard glazed porcelain and hand-painted with underglaze paints.

At the same time, each figurine bears the stamp of the master's individuality and is essentially unique. On the base, in addition to the DPF trademark, you will find two names—the form's author (E.I. Gatilova) and the artist who painted the piece.
