About Wallendorf -
The factory was founded by Johann Wolfgang Hamann from Kathütte. At first, he applied for a concession to produce porcelain at the royal court of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. He was refused, but eventually opened his business in Kathütte.
A year later, Johann Wolfgang Hamann bought an estate in Wallendorf, located in the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. The Wallendorf Porcelain Manufactory has been operating since 1764. The Wallendorf Porcelain Manufactory was founded jointly by Wolfgang Hamann and his son, the glass artist Gottfried Greiner, and his cousin Gottel Greiner.
