  • Description: Zacharias Deichman (b. 1709, Olonets, d. 1776). Studied in Moscow, where he became a journeyman. In 1731, a master silversmith of the foreign guild in St. Petersburg. From 1760-1776, executed many commissions for the Imperial Court Office and had many apprentices, including his son and brother who continued his work. The mark is rectangular with the master's initials "ZD".
